Junior Consultant

As a Junior Consultant at TLG.  You play and important role in supporting the recruitment team by sourcing candidates, screening CVs, coordinating interviews, and maintaining accurate database and pipeline activity. You will be working closely with a Senior Consultant and Team Leader,  helping deliver a high-quality service to clients and candidates while developing sector knowledge, commercial awareness, and core consulting skills. This is a learning-focused role designed to build experience and progress toward a full Consultant position.

Consultant

As a Consultant at TLG, you will manage your own portfolio of roles and clients, taking ownership of the full recruitment process from briefing to placement. You’ll build strong candidate and client relationships, develop sector knowledge, and work toward consistent delivery and billing targets, operating with growing independence while collaborating with Senior Consultants and Team Leaders to support wider team objectives.

Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant at TLG, you will be an experienced recruiter who leads on higher-value roles, key client relationships, and complex assignments. You will consistently deliver strong performance while providing guidance and mentoring to Junior and Consultant-level colleagues. As a Senior Consultant, your role is vital in contributing to business development, market growth, and best-practice standards, acting as a trusted subject-matter expert within their sector and a key support to the Team Leader.

Team Leader

As a Team Leader at TLG, you oversee a recruitment team, providing leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to ensure strong performance across clients, candidates, and revenue delivery. Your role requires you to manage a teams workflows, support complex assignments, and drive standards of quality, compliance, and service. Alongside developing their own portfolio, the Team Leader mentors Junior and Senior Consultants, supports business growth, and plays a key role in shaping team culture and long-term success.

Supports the Senior Consultant across the full recruitment lifecycle — sourcing candidates, qualifying CVs, coordinating interviews, maintaining candidate pipelines, and helping to deliver successful outcomes for clients while developing core consulting skills.

  • Requirement of this role: 

A strong desire to learn recruitment best practice, good communication and organisation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team while supporting client and candidate activity.

  • Skills that help with this role: 

Relationship building, attention to detail, problem-solving, resilience, time management, and the confidence to engage professionally with candidates and stakeholders.

  • Average time spent in role before promotion: 

Typically 18–24 months, depending on performance, capability development, and contribution to team results.

Consultant
  • Responsibility of this role: 

    Support recruitment activities and assist in client and candidate management.

  • Requirement of this role:

    Basic recruitment experience and strong organisational skills.

  • Skills that help with this role:

    Communication, attention to detail, and multitasking.

Senior Consultant

Meet Elliot Kelly, a Consultant at TLG.
  • What made you join TLG? I joined TLG because I saw a clear opportunity to progress my career in a business that invests in its people. The sector focus, strong client relationships and structured development path really appealed to me.
  • What’s your working background? I started my career as an apprentice in recruitment, where I learned the fundamentals of the industry from the ground up. I then moved into a Junior Consultant role at my previous company, building experience across candidate sourcing, delivery and client support before progressing to Consultant level.
  • What do you like about TLG?  I really enjoy the supportive, high-performance culture at TLG. The team environment, access to experienced mentors and exposure to major projects have helped me develop both professionally and personally.
  • How have you grown since joining?  Since joining TLG, I’ve gained more responsibility, strengthened my market and sector knowledge, and developed greater confidence managing my own roles, clients and candidate relationships, helping me continue progressing in my career as a Consultant.
